The late Buck Page is the founder of the Western group, Riders of the Purple Sage.
He is shown here performing at the Old Town Music Hall in the fall of 2003.

There has been more than one group called "Riders of the Purple Sage."
Buck's is the original, begun in the 1930's when he was thirteen.
